Celebrating Life's Milestones

Celebrating Memorial Day

At the Yacht Club for a delicious brunch

30 weeks pregnant... 10 more to go!

At Southern Star Brewery

At a Tex Mex dinner at Lupe Tortilla

I am so happy that Nicole, Danielle, and I have remained such great friends. This was a fun trip where we celebrated life's milestones together. We have Lil Harper coming in August, Danielle's engagement, and Nicole and Morgan just bought their first nice house together. We started off the trip by taking them to Lupe Tortilla to get some good ole Tex Mex. We had table side guacamole made and ordered 3 lbs of beef fajitas with the Texas size tortillas. After our yummy dinner we went to Crush wine lounge to have a couple of cocktails (well I didn't, I had a nice ice cold water.) Because of everyone flying in that day we headed home to get some sleep for a fun filled weekend. On Saturday morning my terrific husband prepared breakfast tacos for our guests and Nicole and I went and grabbed some Starbucks coffee for everyone, since Brian and I don't know how to make coffee. After our yummy breakfast Nicole, Brian, Joe, and I headed to the Villa Sport to get a good workout in before heading to the lake. Once we got back home and got ready we headed to Conroe and went to Southern Star brewery for Texas beer. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the beer, maybe a little too much. Everyone was very happy they had a designated driver! We finally made it to the lake house in Conroe, and took the boat out, grilled some steaks and burgers, and played some corn hole. Sunday morning we went to brunch at the Yacht Club, which is always so delicious. Then we headed back out into the the sun with all of the water activities. The weekend flew by so fast that on Monday morning we were already going back to the airport to say goodbye. :( I can't wait for our next reunion! We always have such a great time with each other!

(Stephanie we wish you were with us, maybe next time. Also, we LOVED your rice krispie treats!!! That was so thoughtful of you!)

2 year anniversary of LRC

Jenn and I

After our three games of playing...

Carla and Delvin.. way to pose girls!

I always enjoy a girls night out at reject bunco! It was our 2 year anniversary and we had a mexican theme party with margaritas, (that I could not enjoy)fajitas, and more! It was Heather's last night because she is moving to Dallas and she won twice in a row! It must have been her night! We sat around and played LRC and talked about motherhood, the birthing process, and all of the ups and downs of being pregnant and a mom. I can only imagine what it's all going to be like. All I can hope and pray for is a safe delivery with Harper being a healthy little girl!

Getting Harper's Nursery Ready...

Gpa and Brian putting the crib together

The crib all put together

The window treatments haven't been put in yet. Still need some pretty curtains on that wall for sure!

Here is the dresser: I still need to hang the mirror and I'll have her changing pad on the right of the frames.

Oh what a process...
Poor Brian had to do all of the work to get Lil Miss Harper's nursery ready. He first started by painting, which I really wasn't a fan of the color. I wanted a light vanilla cream and it turned out to be darker than I had wanted. But there was no way I could tell Brian to repaint the whole room because I wanted a shade lighter. I do think it's a great neutral color espcially because we will have such BOLD colors in the room, with black, white, and lime green. So far all we have done is painted, put the crib together, and placed the dresser in the room. We still need her lime green rocker and ottoman that's being made and should be here in a couple of weeks. We also need her bedding of course, and her letters I'm having custom made to be put above the crib. I also have to hang her mirror above her dresser, hang some curtains, and do all the little things once the due date gets closer.

Getting to meet Cade Pontbriand

I was so excited to meet Cade Pontbriand, especially since he's going to be my son-in-law, since him and Harper are getting married! He was so precious and so little. I was able to feed him and I attempted to burp him with no luck. I will say I was very nervous trying to burp him. I felt a little anxious that I will have no idea what I'm doing once Harper arrives. I know when she comes it will come naturally to me, but I'm feeling overwhelmed. Also, once I take my breastfeeding class I think I'll feel more confident.

After visiting with Cade, Nic, Ryan, Vic, Kyle, Brian, and I went to Japs. I absolutely love eatting at Japs, they have the best sushi EVER!!! And because of Nic, I was able to order the pregnancy roll. I always enjoy their company and I can't wait for Harper to be here to play with her boyfriend.

Our Babymoon in Galveston

Getting some sun on that belly

Relaxing at the pool

At Hotel Galvez

Brian and I about to go on our bicycle ride, that I was too short to pedal

We had so much fun on our weekend trip! Brian and I went to Galveston and stayed at the beautiful Hotel Galvez. We both took a half day on Friday and stopped downtown to eat at Ziggy's, man, I love their healthy queso! Then we headed to Galveston. Once we got their we took a little tour of the beautiful hotel. Then we decided to go to the strand and walk around. We stopped by the chocolate factory and had a chocolate dipped twinkie, YUMMMMY!!! Then we went to the ever so touristy Fisherman's Wharf for dinner. After dinner we went to the seawall and walked along the side the gorgeous beach, no sarcasm there ;). On Saturday morning we went to the DELICIOUS brunch buffet that they had downstairs, then we went for a walk on the seawall, then headed to the fitness center in Hotel Galvez. After a good long workout we went to the pool to lay out for a couple of hours. For lunch we went to Mosquito Cafe, OMG, I totally recommend this place. It was one of the best lunches I ever had. It was rated #1 on trip advisor for best place to eat in Galveston. After lunch we went back to the pool, then we decided to go on a little bike ride. We got in the little golf cart looking things that you have to pedal, it was fun at the beginning, but I was too short to pedal, so poor Brian had to do all of the pedaling. Later that night we went to dinner at a little Mediteranean cafe on the strand.
It was a very relaxing, enjoyable trip that was much needed.I slept the best I've slept since I've been pregnant. It was a great getaway before little Harper gets here. We will definitely need to make sure to continue to do little getaways once she is here too! :)

Cute, cute, cute clothes!!

My pretty diaper cake that Shelly made

Cute letters Julie made for Harper's room

Beautiful Cake

I am so blessed to be apart of such a great school and to be on an amazing team! My third grade team hosted my baby shower and they put so much thought into it. Shelly made the cutest diaper cake that matches Harper's nursery colors, and Julie made the cutest letters to go on a book shelf in Harper's room. It was decoracted with cute lime green and black decorations and they even had sour patch candy there for me because it's my pregnancy craving! :) I got some amazing gifts, super cute outfits, and items off of my registry that I know I will use often once Harper arrives.

Harper's 3D images

Harper's eyes and mouth open

Front of her face

Harper's foot and hand

Wow, what a miracle of God! Everytime I have a doctor's appointment and I get to see her and hear her heart beat it just makes me thank God for all that he has given me and it makes me appreciate everything I have been given in life. Yesterday's appointment was so cool to see the little images of Harper. Brian and I definitely think she has my mouth and nose, but we'll see who she looks like once she gets here. We can't wait to meet her!!!!

Bunco gals

The Bollywood Buncettes (cute name Cindy)

Taking a ride on Lucy

Cindy, Jenn, Amy, and I standing in front of the big pink elephant

What a fun charity event! It was a bollywood theme and I was as dressed up as I could get. There were some beautiful outfits there, with beautiful jewelry to go along with them. They had a real elephant there that you could ride and her name was Lucy. She was 24 years old and the sweetest little (or should I say big) animal. Her skin was so rough! The food was great they had an assortment of American food, Mexican food, and Indian food. The photobooth was definitely one of the most fun and best parts of the night. We just couldn't seem to get it to work. One of our expressions couldn't get it right. I also won something in the silent auction, yay!
