My Maternity Pics

Oh wow, watching your body change and your baby grow has been very bittersweet for me. I absolutely LOVE that little Harper is getting bigger and bigger every day, and I definitely want to capture the beauty of God's miracle. BUT... it has also been very hard watching my body grow, not the stomach, which I love (even though, it does get in the way a lot) but watching as my hips, thighs, butt, arms, and my face all get wider is VERY HARD!!!! Poor Brian hears me complain constantly, but what is most important is for Harper to be healthy and to get here safely, then I will be on a mission to lose all of this baby weight.

Lark is a fabulous photographer, and she captured some great pictures that we will be showing Harper down the road of her mommy pregnant with her.

Here are a few... I'm 8 months pregnant in these pics.

We LOVE this little girl in here...

All of my presents!!!

I am so blessed to have so many great and wonderful friends!!!! Jennifer and Cindy threw me a fabulous baby shower. It couldn't have been any more perfect!

It was at the Grotto restaurant in The Woodlands. We had the back room which was perfect for all of the people who showed up. The food was delicious, I ended up ordering a salad, then chicken with mushrooms sauce served with pasta and spinach. Then for dessert, OH MY, I had some chocolate covered creme puffs AND I had some strawberry cake. The food there was DELICIOUS!!!! After eating it was time to get started on opening the presents because there were so many of them. It was a total success and Harper and I are so lucky to have so many things for once she arrives.

10 year Kempner High School Reunion

Brian and I... 8 months pregnant

Victoria and I at the reunion

Oh wow.... 10 year high school reunion! That was definitely an interesting night. We started off by going to eat at Uptown Sushi. We as in, Brian, myself, Vic, Kyle, Kathy, Patrick, and Heather, and Asa. The night was great until we showed up at the Hilton Garden Inn in the Galleria area. It was so awkward to walk into a room with a bunch of people that looked familiar, but you did't remember half of their names. Every conversation was the same.. " Oh, you're pregnant!, How far along are you?, where are you living?, What's your job?, How was the bachelor? etc, etc......"

I don't know if I'll be going to my 20 year, it was such an interesting night, maybe more so because I was 100% sober while everyone I was with was not.

Celebrating Life's Milestones

Celebrating Memorial Day

At the Yacht Club for a delicious brunch

30 weeks pregnant... 10 more to go!

Nicole loving my belly

Brian loving my belly

At Southern Star Brewery

At a Tex Mex dinner at Lupe Tortilla

I am so happy that Nicole, Danielle, and I have remained such great friends. This was a fun trip where we celebrated life's milestones together. We have Lil Harper coming in August, Danielle's engagement, and Nicole and Morgan just bought their first nice house together. We started off the trip by taking them to Lupe Tortilla to get some good ole Tex Mex. We had table side guacamole made and ordered 3 lbs of beef fajitas with the Texas size tortillas. After our yummy dinner we went to Crush wine lounge to have a couple of cocktails (well I didn't, I had a nice ice cold water.) Because of everyone flying in that day we headed home to get some sleep for a fun filled weekend. On Saturday morning my terrific husband prepared breakfast tacos for our guests and Nicole and I went and grabbed some Starbucks coffee for everyone, since Brian and I don't know how to make coffee. After our yummy breakfast Nicole, Brian, Joe, and I headed to the Villa Sport to get a good workout in before heading to the lake. Once we got back home and got ready we headed to Conroe and went to Southern Star brewery for Texas beer. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the beer, maybe a little too much. Everyone was very happy they had a designated driver! We finally made it to the lake house in Conroe, and took the boat out, grilled some steaks and burgers, and played some corn hole. Sunday morning we went to brunch at the Yacht Club, which is always so delicious. Then we headed back out into the the sun with all of the water activities. The weekend flew by so fast that on Monday morning we were already going back to the airport to say goodbye. :( I can't wait for our next reunion! We always have such a great time with each other!

(Stephanie we wish you were with us, maybe next time. Also, we LOVED your rice krispie treats!!! That was so thoughtful of you!)
